Vendor Disclosure

Current beta service providers used to host FactNot, process private uploads, send email, reduce abuse, and route AI requests.

01

Current beta providers

FactNot uses third-party providers to operate the beta. This page names the current provider categories so users can understand where account, workspace, upload, email, security, and AI processing may occur.

  • Hosting and database: Fly.io Machines and Fly Postgres.
  • Private upload and object storage: Tigris Data.
  • Transactional email and contact routing: Resend and Namescheap Private Email.
  • AI routing: OpenRouter routing DeepSeek or other configured model providers.
  • Signup and abuse prevention: Cloudflare Turnstile.
  • Domain registration and DNS: Namescheap.
02

Processing roles

Provider legal roles, DPA status, transfer basis, retention controls, deletion controls, and downstream AI provider behavior are tracked in the production vendor inventory and launch evidence.

  • A provider may act as a processor, subprocessor, independent controller, registrar, mailbox provider, or infrastructure service depending on the feature and contract terms.
  • FactNot does not claim EU-only processing, fixed provider retention, no-training, zero-data-retention, or registered DMCA safe-harbor status unless current evidence supports that claim.
  • The OpenRouter route is configured to request zero-data-retention, deny provider data collection, and disable fallbacks, but vendor proof and downstream model-provider posture still matter.
03

User content and AI

When users choose AI-assisted features, selected prompts, workspace context, source excerpts, files, metadata, and outputs may be sent through configured AI and infrastructure providers to provide summaries, extraction, verification, search, and chat.

  • Do not use AI features for legal, medical, financial, employment, compliance, regulated, or irreplaceable workflows unless you are comfortable with the model and provider settings.
  • Model selection may change the provider path.
  • AI output can be wrong and should be checked against reliable primary sources.
